How to fix multiple print problem

If one press of your PrintDeskTop shortcut key sometimes gives you two or more printouts, Windows is repeating the key: when a key is held down a moment too long, Windows types it again. Making the keyboard wait longer before it repeats fixes it.

Windows 11 and Windows 10

1. Press Windows key + R. The Run box opens.
2. Type control keyboard and press Enter. Keyboard Properties opens.
3. On the Speed tab, slide Repeat delay to the left (Long). If it still happens, also slide Repeat rate a little to the left (Slow).
4. Click OK.

Tip: press your shortcut keys briefly, and let go right away.

Older Windows (XP), with pictures

1. Click the Windows Start button:
   
2. Click Control Panel:
   
3. Double-click the Keyboard icon:
   
4. Under the Speed tab, slide the Repeat delay slider to the left (longer), and, possibly, the Repeat rate slider to the left (slower):
   
5. Click Ok.
